Los Angeles – A 48-year-old man who uploaded an unfinished
copy of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" to the Internet has entered a guilty
plea, and is likely to spend the rest of the year in prison, TorrentFreak
reported.

The FBI arrested Gilberto Sanchez in December 2009, alleging he
uploaded the movie to MegaUpload, a free file-hosting cyberlocker service, and
then shared links to the file on public forums.

For his part, Sanchez claims he
bought the film for $5 from a street vendor, and was not an employee at the
post-production firm working on the film, or involved with the industry at all.

Under the pertinent statute governing the unauthorized distribution of
pre-release copyrighted works, Sanchez could face a maximum of three years in
prison and a $250,000 fine.

After a months-long investigation, the FBI has made
no additional arrests in connection with the leak of the film.
