Cambridge, Mass. – Redigi, the operator of a website that
allows users to buy and sell "used" digital music, has raised
$535,000 in equity, according to a new filing by the company with the
Securities and Exchange Commission.

Cambridge, Mass.-based Redigi says it has
created a method for legally transferring purchased songs between individual
buyers.

The personal license transactions are handled through Redigi, which
removes the digital goods from the seller’s device and transfers it to the
buyer’s, assumedly making the transaction not subject to copyright violations.
