Redmond, Wash. — Microsoft’s recent development was accidentally revealed on Socl.com’s page — called Tulalip, a new social/design project from the company, according to a discovery by Fusible.

“With Tulalip you can Find what you need and Share what you know easier than ever,” read the message on the homepage, which has since been taken down.

The splash page of the previously unknown project showed options for users to connect the service through Facebook and Twitter, and is more than likely a venture into “social searching.”

Replaced with a message from Microsoft late Thursday, the company acknowledged all those also who stopped by and declared the preview was an “honest mistake.”

On the heels of Google+’s recent popular launch and the success of Microsoft’s Bing search engine, the “accidental” social media preview looks like Microsoft’s next attempt to broaden its Internet-based offerings.
