Break Media Acquires Gaming Website FileFront

Los Angeles – Break Media, a network of entertainment sites targeting young men, announced on Thursday that it has acquired FileFront, a publisher of video game news and downloads.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2001, Texas-based FileFront currently counts 9 million unique monthly visitors, more than 20,000 active forum users, and a network of over 75 game-specific websites.

Los Angeles-based Break said it plans to invest significantly in the editorial components of FileFront, and launch a site redesign.

Los Angeles – Break Media, the operator of a network of websites targeting young males, announce on Monday that it has established a new video development studio. Located in China, the studio will focus on social games, and is currently working on six original titles; its first game, "MMA FightPicker," is due to launch next month. The game will be featured on Break’s site and also be accessible on Facebook. Break says its stable of sites reach more than 100 million men worldwide each month.

Los Angeles – Break Media, the operator of male-focused entertainment site, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Wall Street Fighter, a business news and financial humor website with more than 500,000 unique monthly visitors.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"On a daily basis, Wall Street Fighter provides business news in an entertaining, unique style that really resonates with 18-34-year-old men," said Break CEO Keith Richman.
