Cheetah Mobile Will Launch Its Online Advertising Platform In India

TechCrunch reports "Best known as an Android utility app maker, Cheetah Mobile is now focused on global growth for its mobile advertising business. The Beijing-based company announced today that it will launch its advertising platform in India next month. Cheetah Mobile, which acquired Paris-based ad tech startup MobPartner for $58 million earlier this year, says its advertising platform currently has over 500 clients around the world, including Flipkart, Uber, Amazon, and Booking.com, as well as partnerships with Facebook, Google, and Tencent. It opened a Delhi office, its first in India, in June, and is currently hiring in that city as well as Bangalore.". Read More

TechCrunch reports "Today, the WSJ reported that the NFL’s video test with Facebook ended “quietly” earlier this year. The publication also referred to it as a “partnership,” a term that is used very loosely in business, especially here in the Valley. But hey, maybe Facebook decided to end the thing (we’ve asked Facebook and will update if we hear back). The test involved promoting Verizon-sponsored, NFL-related clips within people’s news feeds with post-roll ads. We’re guessing it didn’t work, otherwise it would have turned into an actual deal.".
