Apple and Google to Provide Exclusive Game Applications

plantvszombiesThe Wall Street Journal reports that Apple and Google are courting game developers to make sure that top game titles are introduced on devices run by their respective operating systems. Both the companies are attempting to entice game developers by offering to place certain  games high on their app stores’ features lists and home pages. Apple had a deal with Electronic Arts last August to market the game “Plants vs. Zombies 2” but placing it high in its App Store, and had a similar arrangement with ZeptoLab to promote its puzzle game “Cut the Rope”, which was released in December.
