Nokia MixRadio To Be First Global Music Streaming Service in China

Nokia Mixradio 1Hypebot reports that Nokia MixRadio will be the first Global Music Streaming Service in China after its launch this week. More than 80% of Internet users in China (approximately 500 million people) surf the Internet via a mobile device, making it the world’s leading global market for music streaming. Currently, Nokia MixRadio is accessible in 31 countries. By comparison, Pandora is accessible in three countries with 150 million users and Apple’s iRadio has 20 million users and is available in only two countries. By 2015, Internet users in China are expected to account for nearly a quarter of the total global user base. Nokia MixRadio has brought on leading Chinese musicians like Tia Ray, Khalil Fong, and DJ Wordy to curate playlists of local music. Read More
