Report: San Francisco’s Lithium Technologies to Acquire Klout

Klout demo Ann Hornaday sqLithium Technologies, the San Francisco-based developer of software that lets businesses create their own social networks and online communities, appears to be on the verge of acquiring San Francisco-based Klout in a deal expected to be worth more than $100 million, re/code reported. The blog reported that the deal has been signed, but has yet to close. Klout’s technology is designed to assess users’ influence on social media, scoring it on a scale of 1-100. The company has raised $40 million in funding, including a $30 million round two years ago from investors including Kleiner Perkins, Venrock and Institutional Venture Partners. Read more
