VentureBeat: Groupon In No Hurry To Appoint New CEO

grouponVentureBeat reports that Groupon has said it’s not in any rush to permanently appoint a new CEO after firing Andrew Mason, founder and chief executive. Ted Leonsis and executive chairman Eric Lefkofsky are sharing the CEO role after firing Andrew Mason, just a day following its last quarterly report. Leonsis said, “The leadership team is very, very strong and is jelling very nicely. We’re not in a hurry.” This quarter Groupon made $601.4 million in revenue exceeding expectations. Read more
