FourSquare Launches “Best of” Series Based on 3 Billion Check-ins and Millions of Tips

Foursquare launched its “Best of” series showcasing the best spots in different U.S cities based on 3 billion check-ins and millions of tips. This new service from the location-based social network is designed to help people  figure out the best places to check out on their travels and businesses to promote events.

Foursquare’s blog states: “These best of lists are based on the ratings we give to millions of places on Foursquare. We use signals like tips, likes, dislikes, popularity, local expertise, and nearly 3 billion check-ins from over 30 million people worldwide to determine how much people love a place. The Best of Foursquare pulls together lists of the places people love most in cities across the U.S., from cafés and pizzerias to museums and bookstores.”

Foursquare’s “Best of Burger in Los Angeles” is of course In-N-Out Burger.
