NEA Leads $3 Million Round for Curalate

New Enterprise Associates (NEA), the venture capital firm, has led a new $3 million round of funding for Philadelphia-based Curalate, the developer of an analytics and marketing platform for social media site Pinterest. First Round Capital and MentorTech Ventures also took part in the company’s first round, which followed a $750,000 seed round from the same three investors. Patrick Chung, a partner at NEA, has joined the company’s board of directors. Curalate’s platform is designed to help brands measure and grow their brand engagement on visual social media sites such as Pinterest. The company plans to use the latest funding to bolster its product development and marketing activities, as well expand to platforms beyond Pinterest, such as Instagram. Read more.
