CAA’s Mazzeo joins Sacca’s Lowercase Capital as partner
/ December 4, 2012 11:11 am

Lowercase Capital, the early-stage venture capital firm founded by former Google executive Chris Sacca, has confirmed that its first partner is Matt Mazzeo (pictured), who resigned after seven years with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) as a digital business development executive.

Mazzeo’s focus, unsurprisingly, is startups operating at the intersection of media and technology. His previous experiences, like helping CAA create Funny Or Die and mobile entertainment development studio Moonshark, indicate an outlook that is equal parts Hollywood and Silicon Valley.

Lowercase Capital’s current portfolio includes, Twitter, ChartBeat, Uber, and Urban Airship, and previous holdings included Facebook, Kickstarter, Instagram and SimpleGeo.
