Career Moves: September 7, 2007

On Tuesday Miles Flint, President of Sony Ericsson for the last four years, announced that he will step down. He intends to pursue new business and personal opportunities.  He will be replaced by Hideki Komiyama, currently Chairman of Sony's US operations and EVP of electronics marketing and sales.

PeopleJam has added three industry veterans to the company’s executive team, effective immediately.  Larry Martine has been named vice president of marketing; Jonathan Schreiber has been named vice president of business development and Bruce Ettinger has been named vice president of operations and strategy. The announcement was made today by Matt Edelman, CEO and co-founder of PeopleJam, an online social networking and video destination launching in late September to link individuals who share an interest in human achievement, personal bests and achieving a great life.

Ziff Davis Game Group, a New York-based publisher focusing on the video game industry, has named Marci Yamaguchi-Hughes as its senior vice president of sales and Norris Boothe as its vice president of product marketing and CTO. Yamaguchi-Hughes has been with the Game Group sales department for 13 years. Norris Boothe was previously director of product marketing for the 1UP Network, where he helped launch MyCheats.com.

Turbine, Inc. announced today that it has appointed three new executives to its management team: Craig Alexander as Vice President of Product Development, Jerome Lalin as Vice President of Marketing and T.J. Marchetti as Vice President of Community and Social Media.  All three executives will play an active role in supporting the publisher of online games including The Lord of the Rings Online™: Shadows of Angmar™.
