Hyperlocal News, Blog Aggregator Outside.in Raises $900,000

Brooklyn, N.Y. - Outside.in, a site that aggregates "hyperlocal" websites and blogs for users, has raised $900,000 in its first round of financing, led by Union Square Ventures.

Other investors in the round included Milestone Venture Partners, Village Partners, and angel investors Esther Dyson, Marc Andreessen, John Seeley Brown, George Crowley, John Borthwick and Richard Smith.

New York-based Outside.in launched its official website this week, which offers users in 63 U.S. cities a roundup of posts from local news sites, other websites and blogs.
