London - Major record label EMI Music on Wednesday signed an agreement to license its artists' music to online social music network Last.fm's European users.

London-based Last.fm lets users create and share their own Internet radio stations, and offers community-based music recommendations as well as "scrobbling" technology that personalizes the service based on a user's track listening history on iTunes or other players.

The service also provides opportunities to click through and purchase tracks heard on the streaming service from digital retailers.

"The ability to discover music through social interaction on the service, coupled with their seamless integration of opportunities to purchase or subscribe, makes this agreement of huge value to EMI and our artists," said Barney Wagg, EMI Music global head of digital.

Catalog

I still think that Mercora.com has the largest and most diverse music catalog out there. And with their amazing search engine, I definitely think they're the way to go. At least worth checking out.
