Viacom announced today that Michael J. Dolan, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will leave the company at the end of 2006. Thomas Dooley, Viacom Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, will take on the additional duties of Chief Financial Officer following Dolan's departure. Dooley was named Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer in September 2006, when Dauman, was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Viacom. Dooley has worked closely with Dauman for more than 20 years. www.viacom.com Groove Mobile, a mobile music commerce platform, announced today that Jason Binks has been named Director of Off Portal Marketing, and will lead Groove Mobile's stepped up marketing and business development efforts in the United Kingdom and other member countries of the European Union. Binks will be based in London. Binks previously served as Business Development Director at Hyperlaunch New Media. www.groovemobile.com The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has made a number of new additions to its board of directors, though President and CEO of Forbes.com Jim Spanfeller will stay on as Chairman. The new board members are: Jeremy Allaire, Brightcove; Michael Barrett, Fox Interactive Media/ MySpace; John Battelle, Federated Media; Bob Carrigan, IDG Communications; Randy Kilgore, Tremor Media; Leon Levitt, Cox Newspapers; Riley McDonough, WebMD Health; Dave Morgan, Tacoda; David Payne, CNN.com; and Lance Podell, Seevast. www.iab.net Sharper Image, the San Francisco-based retailer of specialty technology products, said that two of its top executives have resigned, a little more than a month after the company hired a turnaround specialist as its new Chairman and CEO. Tracy Wan, the company's President and COO, and Jeff Forgan, its Executive Vice President and CFO, have each stepped down, effective immediately. Sharper Image said that Wan's positions will be eliminated, while Daniel Nelson, currently Senior Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer, will fill the role of interim CFO. Forgan will serve as a consultant over the next four months to assist the company's finance department. In September, Sharper Image named Jerry Levin as its Chairman and CEO, replacing company founder Richard Thalheimer. www.sharperimage.com The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has named Jason Oxman as its new Vice President of Communications, beginning November 27. Oxman is currently the Managing Director of Public Affairs at Law Media Group.
