MTV Networks, a unit of Viacom, announced today that Carole Robinson will assume the newly created role of Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff for MTV Networks. Robinson will report directly to Judy McGrath, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MTV Networks, and will continue to be based in New York. In this new executive position, Robinson will serve as a senior advisor to McGrath and will work closely with her strategy team. In addition, the Corporate Communications, Research and Creative Services/Special Events departments at MTV Networks will now report to Robinson. She will also be responsible for MTV Networks' corporate marketing initiatives and will oversee general administrative duties for the company. Robinson moves to her new position from her previous role as Executive Vice President of Corporate Relations for Viacom. Previously, Robinson was Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications, for MTV Networks since 1999.

Audible, a provider of spoken entertainment, information, and education on the Internet, today announced the appointment of William H. Mitchell as Chief Financial Officer. Audible anticipates that Mitchell will assume his new role by November 20, 2006, at which time CFO Andrew P. Kaplan will leave the Company. Mitchell was most recently CFO of Viewpoint Corporation.

Australia’s most popular internet portal, Ninemsn, has appointed Pepsico's Tony Thomas as its Marketing Director. He will begin in his new post at the end of November, and will be replacing Louise Brockbank, who is leaving the firm to work in the fashion industry.

Internet domain name registrar, eNom, has appointed Taryn Naidu, the former CEO of pool.com, as Executive Advisor to its management team. Naidu's immediate focus will be eNom's aftermarket and auction business called Club Drop (clubdrop.com). eNom, Inc. was acquired in May of this year by Demand Media, Inc., a new company headed by former MySpace.com chairman, and former CEO of Intermix Media, Richard Rosenblatt.

Crisp Thinking, a UK-based online child protection technology company, has appointed Andrew Burke, former Chief Executive of BT Entertainment, as its new Chairman. At BT, Burke devised the company’s TV-over-broadband initiative, as well as pioneering its digital strategy.
