IFILM, a division of Viacom's MTV Networks, announced today that Lowell Goss, the former head of user experience at Yahoo!, has been named Senior Vice President User Experience and Product Development. During his three years at Yahoo!, Goss created and managed a 45-person user experience design team for the Yahoo! Media Group business unit.
Burton Katz has signed on as Chief Executive Officer of digital entertainment company New Motion, parent company of MobileSidewalk. Previously Katz was President of Buongiorno’s North American operations and past executive of its U.K. operations.
MTV Networks, a division of Viacom, yesterday announced that Braden Herman has been named Senior Vice President, Digital Advertising Operations. In his position, he will be responsible for optimizing MTVN's digital ad sales structure and enabling clients to effectively target audiences across the company's portfolio of brands. Herman will report to Hank Close, President, U.S. Ad Sales, MTV Networks. Herman previously served as Vice President of Advertising Sales for Advertising.com, where he led business intelligence and strategy for the company's sales division.
Electronic Arts announced yesterday the appointment of Hubert Larenaudie as President Online – Asia, responsible for EA’s online product, technology and distribution operations in the region. Larenaudie joins EA from Vivendi Universal Games where he was President for Asia-Pacific, successfully bringing to market online PC games from that company such as World of Warcraft and StarCraft.
