Starz Animation, a division of Starz Media, has announced the appointment of Kent Rice as its CEO. Rice was previously Executive Adviser to Starz Entertainment.

Bill Jennings joins ViTrue, the user-generated advertising company, as its Chief Revenue Officer. Jennings was previously Chief Revenue Officer for Lightningcast.

Jamie Howard joins Imagine Communications as its president and CEO. Howard was most recently COO of BigBand Networks.

MobiTV named Kay Johansson as its CTO. Johansson was previously CTO of PopWire.



Scott Young joins LodgeNet as its Chief Marketing Officer. Young was previously Best Buy’s VP of Merchandising for Music.



NBC names Vivi Zigler EVP of Digital Entertainment and New Media, a newly created position. Zigler was previously NBC’s EVP of Current Programs.

C-COR, a cable equipment company, has promoted Rodger Sherwood to VP of service and Development for its VOD and OSS Solutions. Sherwood was previously C-COR’s Director of Customer Solutions for the EMEA.



New York Times Co. announced that Steven Ainsley will succeed Richard Gilman, publisher of The Boston Globe and head of New England Media Group, who is retiring. Ainsley is currently President and COO of the company’s Reginal Media Group and will be succeeded by Mary Jacobus, President and General manager of The Boston Globe.
