Discovery Communications announced today the selection of Roger F. Millay as Senior Executive Vice Pesident and Chief Financial Officer. Millay previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Airgas, Inc.

Amy Pascal has been promoted to Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and has extended her deal with the studio to 2011. Pascal was a studio executive at Columbia from 1987 to 1994, after which she was named President of Production for Turner Pictures where she remained for two years.

Capcom, a worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced the appointment of Germaine Gioia to serve as Senior Vice President of Licensing. Previously, Gioia was an executive at videogame publisher THQ.

Speck Products, a Palo Alto, Calif.- based maker of iPod, cell phone, satellite radio and the electronics accessories, on Wednesday named Irene Baran as its new CEO. Baran previously spent 20 years at Monster Cable, where she most recently spent 12 years as COO.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc., an operating unit of METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER Inc., the film and television-program producer and distributor, appointed Jim Packer President of its restructured MGM Worldwide Television Distribution Group. The post is new. Packer was previously an Executive Vice President of the Worldwide Television Distribution unit.
