N.Y. Times Identifies Creator of YouTube Virtuoso Guitar Video

New York - The New York Times recently reported on a virtuoso guitar performance video of a rock version of Pachelbel's famous "Canon in D Major," posted to the video-sharing site YouTube by a previously unknown young Asian man who called himself "funtwo". After several fakers came forward to proclaim they were the creators of the video -- which has been viewed over 7 million times on YouTube -- The Times traced its source to 23-year-old Korean Jeong-Hyun Lim. On why he didn't show his face when performing in the video, Lim told The Times, "Main purpose of my recording is to hear the other's suggestions about my playing. I think play is more significant than appearance. Therefore I want the others to focus on my fingering and sound. Furthermore I know I'm not that handsome."
