Broadband Video Delivery Firm Maven Networks Raises $12 Million

Cambridge, Mass. - Maven Networks, a developer of broadband video delivery systems, has raised $12 million in its third round of venture capital, led by Prism Venture Partners. Massachusetts-based Maven Networks' products allow media companies to create, manage and deliver broadband video channels that support direct-to-consumer services and generate new revenue streams. Its customers include 20th Century Fox, A&E Television Networks International, Disney Buena Vista Pictures, Hallmark Channel, National Geographic Channel, Pepsi, Nik, and Sony Pictures. Other investors in Maven's latest funding round include Accel Partners and General Catalyst Partners. The company has raised a total of $30 million to date.
