San Francisco - Video-sharing site GUBA announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to distribute more than 100 feature-length films from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on its premium online video service. The deal is GUBA's second with a major studio, having signed a similar agreement with Warner Bros. Entertainment several weeks ago. Sony titles including "Underworld: Evolution," "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Bridge on the River Kwai" will be available for purchase and download, with new releases selling for $19.99 and catalog titles from $9.99. Sony expects to offer some 500 films on GUBA within the next year, including day-and-date releases with DVD. Some titles will also be offered for rental through a video-on-demand platform.
